Kumbhalgarh is situated on the borders of Mewar and Udaipur district. It is the second most “Important Monument” in India after the Taj Mahal, Agra. Kumbhalgarh is a Rajput fort in the Rajsamand district, Rajasthan state in western India. Built during the course of the 15th century by Rana Kumbha, it is one of the largest forts in India.
The Kumbhalgarh Fort is located 85 km from Udaipur in the state of Rajasthan. It is the second fort (after Chittorgarh Fort) built by the Sisodia clan of Mewar over.There are over 360 temples within the fort. Kumbhalgarh is also the birth place of Maharana Pratap - The great warrior king of Mewar, he is remembered by his courage and heroic deeds.
